Apparently rat race
is only way to survive and there is no other means. Everything around
is moving so fast except the traffics hues! Technology is changing
everyday, our smart phones are getting smarter and so are we. Are we?
I am not sure. Our food habits have been really Instant. Instant
Maggi to Instant Dosa's to Instant Paneer Makhni! I mean who thought
Paneer can be made in 5 minutes! Anything Instant and we are upon it.
So much so that even our sorrows and disappointments are instant. A
day in our life goes upside down and we are done for weeks together
or sometimes may be months. The wheels of our life is constantly
moving that even a small bump feels like we are being stopped for no
reason. The journey is long for sure, so aren't we supposed to get off
the wheels and take a small breath if not a deep one. Of course the
entire human existence is on ‘how much we earn’?? It is a basic
question which disturbs all the levels of society at various
intensity. An upper class individual might not bother as much a middle
class one but still the race is on to take over his counterpart. The
question is can ‘Money’ add to the quality of our life? The
answer can be debatable. Some might agree and some may not. Money can
be help full for collective well being and bring down the stress
levels to various extent and even design our life in a certain way
but it cannot fill the vacuum of our head space. An expensive gift
might not make us happy while a walk on a sea shore or even a plush
green garden might just make our heart sing. It is as simple as that.
No matter to which class of society we belong, there is always an
unpleasant feeling within ourselves.
Not everyday we feel good about
life especially when things din't go the way we expected. There are
times we sulk and get into that cocoon mode and the marginal
depression sets in. It happens unconsciously, gradually without the
realisation that we are troubled by ourselves. The routine gets
frustrated and we become zombie’s! I believe that everyone at some
stage becomes restless and wants to silently give up. Everyday may
not be overwhelming, exciting and bright as it is expected to be. But
still we can live with hopes in our heart, smile on our face and
count on the blessings that we made it until here. There are many who
doesn’t even get to see the sun in the morning. Invest time on
emotional well being, be kind to people around, appreciate and sleep
well. Even though there is no promise for a better tomorrow, there is
reflection of our deeds. Some act of kindness, somewhere to someone
might just fall in our lap as gratitude. Be good, do good.
